New research from Warwick University claims doses of Thiamine (vitamin B1) can reverse early kidney diseases with type 2 diabetes. They tested the research using 40 patients from Pakistan, to find the effects of vitamin B1 which was found in meat, yeast and grain. Diabetes UK says it's promising, but it's too early for any conclusion.
Do you believe in this research, and is it wise to use Pakistani patients for the effects of vitamin B1?

I bet my kidneys are much different than a Pakistani's, so I will ignore this research.

Well I think every research concerning diabete is good, as more and more people will need it, but using that kind of people to do the test is like using them as "cobayes"...

Unfortunately, most diagnosis of kidney disease happens too late and the kidney already have permanent damage ...thus this doesn't benefit to the majority.

I hope that research has some relevance, I know several people that would benefit from this.
