Government statistics prove women perpetrate child abuse more then men.........

This back-and-forth debate just proves you have to assess people and circumstances on a case-by-case basis, but the stereotypes and assumptions our society has been conditioned to make are statistically misguided.

Vierotchka, I see where you are coming from, the information can be taken in many different ways. The way I take it is: "lets even out the playing field when it comes to custody".
Noone can make abolute generalizations about how and why relationships end, but I personally know that my exes initiated the break-up (i was never married) because they stood to gain so much more if they took me out of the picture. My sons mother was even cheating on me with men and women while pregnant...then left me during late term pregnancy to later begin sleeping with a friend of mine....But yet, I do not post anything claiming women are the devil. Misogyny vs misandry never works, men and women alike are crushed by the corruption of family courts. Untill we take the gender wars out of the equation and force the courts to act in the best interests of the children rather than their own personal beliefs and/or federal incentive funds there will never be a fully accurate statistic.

Yes, initiated by women whose husbands are having a serious affair with a much younger woman, very often. Also, a great many men simply don't pay child support because they have remarried and have new kids. A woman with kids finds that it is practically impossible to have a new relationship - because she has kids, and men avoid them - so few women with kids actually remarry.

Vierotchka, there are many variables to divorces but statistics show that two thirds of divorces are initiated by women. Women almost always get the kids which means a steady stream of child support and almost always get the house. Men lose their homes, are relegated to being a dad only 4 days a month and can pay up to 65% of their income for child support. I would say that men have more stress and duress trying to survive financially than women do. Also many women remarry which puts a man back in the house.

Since the overwhelming majority of divorce settlements give the custody of the children to women, of course there will appear to be far more women than men abusing children - women who are probably under great stress and duress just trying to survive financially.

I'm wondering if these statistics correlate with absentee fathers statistics.

Isn't it amazing that The National Organization of Women can spread lies against men simply because they have the money to do so?
