January is cold, bitter and gnerally an anti climax with the begining of a new year. The only exception is the opening of the Premier League transfer window.

Newly minted Manchester City look set to splash the cash with an unreasonable amount of money, players such as Wayne Bridge, Roque Santa Cruz and Kaka (yes all in the same sentence) have already been linked.

Kolo Toure has allegedly handed in a transfer request after a big bust up with defensive partner William Gallas.

Jermain Defoe is apparently eager to match up with Harry Redknapp at Spurs again.

With all these rumours floating around, which transfers can you see happening? Who would you like your team to buy?

    • I would like West Ham to buy a creative midfielder, and try and get a decent striker in. Easier said than done! I'm more interested in the club shipping out some of the fringe players, as the squad size is way too big right now (34).

I would urge other clubs to make offers, starting with the following: Faubert, Gabbidon, Etherington, Spector, Cole (wishful thinking), Boa Morte, Mullins, and Bowyer.

He's been the invisible man for the past year, must have the worst thigh / groin injury in the history of football!

Did James Tomkins perform well while on loan? West Ham have high hopes for him.

    • United start the silly season

£17m for two unproven youngsters despite not wanting to splash the cash.

      Good business?

    • This article in the Times seems to think that the party is over for English clubs. The adverse effect of the economy shaking seems to be our players have become cheaper to foreign clubs!

    • Rooney moving to City from United would be amazing, I'm a bitter Everton supporter still angry with the way he handled his move to United.

Hopefully his money grabbing agent will whisper in his ear again and stir up his desire to move.
