I agree that a lot of people would "care" more if they had their basic needs taken care of. Oakland is so depressed and dangerous in some spots. It's hard to worry about the world if you're worried about your family... "green" jobs or any positive work available is good for the community there. :)

I hope the green industry rises dramatically in the coming years. Hopefully the special interests from the monster rich oil executives will lose against the will of the people.
