Hitler Was a Christian? - The Holocaust was caused by Christian fundamentalism:

Due to Hitler’s involvement with the Church he began enacting doctrines of the Church as law. He outlawed all abortion, raged a death war on all homosexuals, and demanded corporal punishment in schools and home. Many times Hitler addressed the church and promised that Germany would implement its teachings: “The National Socialist State professes its allegiance to positive Christianity. It will be its honest endeavor to protect both the great Christian Confessions in their rights, to secure them from interference with their doctrines (Lehren), and in their duties to constitute a harmony with the views and the exigencies of the State of today.” –Adolf Hitler, on 26 June 1934, to Catholic bishops to assure them that he would take action against the new pagan propaganda “Providence has caused me to be Catholic, and I know therefore how to handle this Church.” -Adolf Hitler, reportedly to have said in Berlin in 1936 on the enmity of the Catholic Church to National Socialism

How Christianity was the catalyst of the Holocaust:

Hitler’s anti-Semitism grew out of his Christian education

    • I am under the impression that Hitler himself was not Christian, but manipulated the faith to suit his purposes. One does not need to believe a religion in order to be well versed in it or in order to exploit it.

    • Hitler was a mentally unstable man who had the manipulative powers of a demi-god. This would have happened no matter which religion he chose to follow. He, as so many other leaders in our time have done, used it as a catapult for his agenda. To blame what Hitler did on Christianity does no good; it only propagates the hate that that drove the man to do what he did to those people in Europe.

    • yes, and trying to associate Hitler to Christianity to make the assumption that all Christians are evil murderers is a bit of a stretch and a bit on the intolerant side as well. Personally, I don't think it would matter what his religion was, he would still have been an incarnation of evil.

    • Religion is another wedge we place between us and other people. It's the reason why Christians/Muslims/Other religions are intolerant of Homosexuals, Atheists, etc. It's one of the reasons we fight, kill, and war with others, one of the reasons we judge others, and one of the reasons we hate others.

If people could put aside their pride and obsession with the correct religion and learn to live together, we might eliminate one of the reasons for violence and war.

    • Hitler and the Occult.

Hitler used religion for his own political expedience. He actually was a member of the Thule Society after it became the Nazi Party, and was into occult from a very young age according to this accounting. Considering he was such a hateful anti-semitic, it seems illogical that he would follow the teachings of Christ, who was himself a Jew.

    • Hitler was a crazy SOB. What is good about this post is it debunks all the haters who want to talk trash about atheism. Although Hitler's Xianity was mixed with weird occult crap so he was not a Xian proper, although he manipulated them. But he was not an atheist either. Like I said, dude was a crazy SOB.

    • I love how people will find any excuse to justify for their religion.

look around people religion has forced people into a corner, its do or die.(lol what am i saying?)

Anyways, to say religion wasn't the cause for atleast some of Hitlers doings is just simple naive, because religion affects every religious person way of life, they think differently, they see things differently(IF!!! there that religious)

    • No belief will overcome widespread ignorance! Feel free to continue to put your hard earned money in a bucket! I would hate to see a preacher have to pump gas.....as if a station is hiring. Keep your money, be kind and help out fellow man....worship cleanliness and care for nature! Give a hand up not a handout! Feed the needy! Nuff said!

    • Wasn't Hitler gay as well? So who's to say the Holocaust wasn't caused because of homosexuality?
I'm not homophobic just trying to show the lack of logic here.

Christians shouldn't be compared to Hitler I'm sowwie even if these crazy right wingers drive me up all wall this is taking it a bit far.

The Spear of Destiny theory makes more sense than this post.

    • Here is something Interesting to consider, Hitler is believed to have been born a JEW. That's right he killed his own! Why, because he went mental.

And I believe that a disturbed person is more likely to go and kill and try to take over the world If they have no beliefs than if they follow a belief system that speaks of peace, love and sacrifice.

    • Without his beliefs it would be hard to believe that he would do such things such as Kill Homosexuals, outlaw abortion,Kill jews, etc

It doesn't matter if you want to believe or not but religion has been the cause of the worlds most horrific crimes.

It some cases Hitler himself wouldn't be blamed for his crimes but his beliefs and were those beliefs came from would be blamed.

    • Not really that smart are you? Blaming religion for Hitlers beliefs clearly shows that you have an atheist agenda, that apparently is based in fantasy. Saddam was Muslim, was it the fault of Islam that he killed 100, 000 people? Answer, NO. Well, your submission drew the attention of the Anti Christian Editors, but no body else it appears. I voted it down!!!

    • I guess you must have missed school on the day when they covered the pagan occult beliefs Hitler followed. In fact it was the entire purpose for the SS.

Oh, and Germany was Lutheran which is not "Fundamentalist" Christianity at all.
