Group: Israel deliberately attacked Palestinian journalists
The installations in question include Al-Aqsa television, Al-Resalah newspaper and Sawt Al-Aqsa radio, which the Israeli army bombed on December 28 and over the weekend respectively, the Geneva-based Press Emblem Campaign said in a statement, citing a Palestinian media non-governmental group.
The press group, which fights for better protection of journalists in conflict zones, also condemned the recent deaths of two journalists as a result of Israeli attacks.
"Two Palestinian journalists were killed one in previous attacks by Israel, photographer Hamza Shahin, who died on 26 December 2008, and another during the current military round on 3 January, Omar Silawi.
"The current attacks against Palestinian journalists remind the media community of the attacks that were committed by Israel against Lebanese media in the July-August war 2006," the press group said, referring to the conflict between Israel and Lebanon's Hezbollah militia.
It called for Israel to allow non-Palestinian media access to Gaza and denounced the military censorship it said journalists were subjected to in Israel "which questions their ability to cover objectively the conflict from the Israeli side."
The Geneva group called for an independent international probe to look into alleged rights violations during the conflict.

these are clever ways these terrorists carry out their suicide bombings, terrorists posing as journalists....Hamas started this whole thing, you mess with the bull you get the horns.
-
ooooh, everyone who isn't draped in an american flag or an israeli flag is really some dirty terrorist in disguise. That works out great for the so called "good guys", now they're justified in murdering indiscriminately because "all of dem guys" are terrorists.

and you obviously have the truth.
it's clear to everyone. -
"The government has long banned Israeli journalists from entering Gaza due to concerns for their safety, but has previously allowed foreign journalists in even during times of fierce fighting. The Defense Ministry has said foreign journalists will be allowed back into Gaza when Palestinians stop firing rockets at Israel."
-From The Jerusalem Post.
What is interesting to note is what the Defense Ministry has stated, in that foreign journalists won't be let in until rockets stop firing. However, we also know that the main "objective" of the IDF is to destroy all of the Hamas rockets, militants, and infrastructure. So that means that foreign correspondents won't be let into Gaza until the IDF is done with their operations --and atrocities.

Is everyone here too much of an idiot to understand that they are fighting the Hamas terrorist group?
"Israel deliberately targeted Hamas-run media installations."
And that Hamas and probably every other Islamic state will send terrorists to fight Israel? Damn, current's IQ has fallen.

why is it when a terrorist organization picks a fight and runs, everybody on this website supports the terrorists?
this website is nothing but arabic terrorist atheist idiots and refuse to support their own. if you don't like this country then leave, i am sure they have room for you in gaza. -
They intentionally targeted Hamas? And I thought it was just they bad aim.
-
And who would be "my own" in this fight that I would have to leave America over supporting? I do not support terrorists that is for sure (though I am not as barbaric regarding watching even them being slaughtered) and surely not the Israeli government bombing and killing children to get votes in their election next month. Some of us are here to support human rights and to speak out for the innocents regardless of what side of the border they are on, and especially the children being targeted in this assault, and yes I do believe children are being targeted here.
I also believe in the case of bombing these media outlets in connection to them not allowing foreign media into Gaza even in defiance of a court order made by their own court to do so, that it indicates censorship... which surely would then indicate that there is much more to this that they wish to hide.
Are you not interested in the truth? Or is your truth the only truth you will see?
-
Oh, you mean the former Jordanians, who were temporarily hijacked by dangerously religious people, were attacked by the children of the victims of the holocaust, because this plan was supposed to work in the first place?
Fights on a national level should be considered legally insane. We need some mass-re-education, but if people would rather kill themselves, then I'm not going to waste my time getting involved wit it, because they obviously do not believe in the same God I believe in.
Just realize cameras are everywhere these days whether you think they are or not, so it's not like the truth on all sides won't come out eventually.

If every one looked at things objectively they'd know that Israel is not to blame for any of the attacks taking place. The nation of Israel is acting on the sole basis of self-defense. I am sure any nation would do accordingly.
That being said Israel has only caused a 13% civilian casualty rate, unmatched by any other war. Hamas is a terrorist group messing with a sovereign nation and it is getting what it deserves in my opinion. -
CNN Ben Weiderman (sp) just now said it is very frustrating for ALL journalists being barred and it was (looked like) a grand plan by Israel to disable the Gaza side of the story and only show images of what they (Israel) want shown...He went on to say the other journalist said they should tunnel in to Gaza or Hang Glide in lol...so flippin true!
What Israel is doing is mass propaganda to make this war look like they are defending themselves when, in fact the Palestanians were defending themselves against an inhumane siege that was starving the population BEFORE the war
