If Facebook really has no agenda, then something else is happening. Apparently the self-policing flagging system meant to prevent inappropriate content is being abused by people with a political agenda, making it nearly impossible for Facebook's team to keep up with the disputes. But should they really just be deleting everything with the word Gaza in it?

hmm. i just wrote a blog containing the words and palestine each 103 times. it is nice and posted up for everyone to read on facebook. no deletion yet.
and flagging does not automatically delete anything. it puts it into a queue to be reviewed by a team of people. someone reads it and uses a "code of ethics" to determine whether or not it should remain in the public forum.

It may be a prank of some kind, but it's good to keep an eye on the myspace/facebook/youtube whatnot. They have oversight, and everyone who has oversight has an agenda. I can't wait till people start accusing Current of cencorship. That'll be a fun bloodbath.

A social sites purpose is just that, socializing.
1. If the room clearly states - No Entry - one should not try to enter, nor cry if you can not gain entry, then your complaint is simply logged.
2. If the sign says, All Are welcome, then the door should remain open, and your presence is simply logged.
3. If the sign says, Speak Freely, except this or that ... then the user agreement for this site, as with most social sites, most likely clearly states, do not start fights, again, your complaint is simply logged. ;)

Letters and words are literary characters, knowing how to use them is playing God. That is apparently much easier when people believe their own proof...which occasionally manifests itself in the form of denial on all sides.

Another blogger accuses Google of the same thing with the CCP, China Communist Party claiming they won't carry listings critical of them, but it was thier own site I found on Google as well as the nine commentaries, both numbers 3 and four respectively. I am scepticle at best on this.

I think the open-source movement of social platforms such as Facebook really embody the rise of net collaboration and open disscussion. It's group's are a fab example of collaborative innovation. It would be a shame to think Facebook are sheltering their users through censorship.
