NASA scientist tells Barack Obama that Australia is destroying life on earth
"Australia exports coal and sets atmospheric carbon dioxide goals so large as to guarantee destruction of much of the life on the planet."
Prof Hansen said that emissions reduction targets, like Kevin Rudd’s goal to cut emissions by a minimum of 5 per cent and up to 15 per cent by 2020, do not work.
“This approach is ineffectual and not commensurate with the climate threat,” he wrote of reduction plans.
“It could waste another decade, locking in disastrous consequences for our planet and humanity.”
Australia are not the only country in this predicament. We can all stand around and argue that developing nations need to trim their emissions too or we can take action and reduce our carbon output.

With Neighbours and Home & Away?
If so, I'd wholeheartedly agree...

James Hansen is a nut. He's a crackpot scientist.
But he's not just any old crackpot scientist--he's THE crackpot scientist at the very epicenter of carbon dioxide hysteria.
Speaking to The Guardian, Hansen said that CO2 levels should be slashed to 350ppm – a level below the current stock of greenhouse gasses in the atmosphere – if "humanity wishes to preserve a planet similar to that on which civilization developed".
"If you leave us at 450ppm for long enough it will probably melt all the ice – that's a sea rise of 75 meters," he added. "What we have found is that the target we have all been aiming for is a disaster – a guaranteed disaster."
Given that sea levels have risen maybe 8 inches in the last century, it's nothing short of madness to suggest that a bump in CO2 will raise sea levels nearly 3,000 inches.
For some of those who have placed their reputations on the line over the idea of a "climate crisis", it's got to be terribly disheartening to slowly realize that Jim Hansen's credibility is shot.

We simply cannot take the nuclear option off of the table in regards to Iran.... er uhm, Australia.
We cannot meet with their leaders without preconditions.

I think they should round up all Australians/criminals and burn them in a giant pile. (Of course it would smell really bad)

Someone please correct the spelling of our president-elect's name in the title of this post.... it's embarrassing.

It is rich, rich irony to hear one from the United States pointing out another country's pollution.
-
While claiming to be only 1.46% of global emissions Australia proudly boasts to be a 30% exporter of global export coal. The Australian Government provides this industry with $210 million annually in subsidies!
Shameful and it MUST stop.Economic growth at the cost of environmatal genicide.
