When I head about the current conflict in the Gaza strip, I felt a disconnect between the numbers of casualties being reported, and America's alliance with Israel. Not satisfied with the representation on television, I decided to go to a Palestinian rally in Boston to hear what people there had to say.

While I was talking to Palestinian supporters, a group of Israeli protesters set up on the sidewalk in response. The confrontation between these two groups of people in Copley Square illustrates why a peace process in this region will be so difficult.

Ride on, that is the answer, but Israel does not want to do this. Its such a shame. Here are some women in the world that are making a difference:

    Get Involved!

    The Mean Green Killing Machine

Reports are coming out of Gaza that there is absolutely NO flour to make bread, no water-no food. One aid agency, Mercy Corps, http://www.mercycorps.org that has not suspended operations since yesterdays UN and Red Cross Israeli authorized aid trucks were attacked, said they have been on the waiting list for two weeks to get their truck loads of food in to Gaza and there is still NO answer from Israel.

This is truly a genocide my friends and we must do something about it.

    so....

Call to Action!! The Womens International League for Peace is organizing:

Demonstrations, manifestations, protests, rallies and more are being held around the world to demand that Israel stop the inhumane bombing of Gaza, ongoing since 27 December. WILPF calls on its members to join these events, and to distribute WILPF's positions and talking points.

Nice video. It's hard having friends on both sides. I stay neutral and try to tell them you can point fingers all day but in the end this isn't the answer for peace. This is just planting the seeds for hatred and war for the next generation. I really hope the UN can get into Gaza soon. i feel sorry for all the innocent people who are suffering on both sides. I couldn't imagine the fears and emotions they must have.

Hamas continues to fire rockets?! Even today more rockets land in Israel. Recent video showed two men, not in uniform but dressed as "civilians", firing rockets from a UN school location - literally hiding under the eaves. Cowards.
Will no Gaza residents report, detain, plead with, or simply shoot the next militant that fires a rocket from their neighborhood? No. Know why? Cowards.
If Hamas is the chosen leadership of Gaza, Gaza must be destroyed. Thankfully, it is not. Gazans have been bullied and intimidated into a complete separation from their West Bank kin and the PLO. But Gazans must turn against Hamas for this to end. I know, peace is the answer, but not when the question is what to do about rocket fire.

wow, this was a very informative pod of what people think about was is happening over in gaza. the fact that confused me and puzzled me, is that is seemed like they were protesting against each other? not so much trying to influence other ongoings and people who walk by, but it seems they are just arguing with the that oppose them five feet away. i'm not well educated in what is happening in gaza, yet alone it's history, but what the man said earlier about 'being educated' and doing more than just 'shouting slogans' really opened my eyes to protesting this issue. up'ed.

Extremely well done pod. Both views equally shared. Voices heard. Points made. And maybe America can realize it's more than choosing sides, it's not football, it's war.

Thank you for your time and effort!

No crisis, demonstrators have been around in all the wars. In the USSR they were called FRONT LINE SOLDIERS!

    Hmm...

I thought Hamas was "democratically elected."

Fuck Zionism, fuck Hamas. We need less (aka. no) religion in order for peace to be trully sustained. I mean religion in this case as Christianity because the US as a Christian nation is supporting some imaginary holy war that will destroy us all.

XVX for life, R.A.S.H. 'til death.

I like this POD, it's raw, poignant and not overly produced. I think your strong voice over introduction and conclusion were very nice. Thanks for braving the weather to bring us this story.

    Good job, Greenlight.

I Gl'ed this because of the words in your conclusion which are so true. Peace on the whole is what people should be speaking out for, and for humanitarian aid for those who need it. I didn't notice any group standing there representing innocent civilians on both sides. I think that is the group we need to see more vocal in this.
