"President George W. Bush entered office in 2001 just as a recession was starting, and is preparing to leave in the middle of a long one. That’s almost 22 months of recession during his 96 months in office.
His job-creation record won’t look much better. The Bush administration created about three million jobs (net) over its eight years, a fraction of the 23 million jobs created under President Bill Clinton’s administration and only slightly better than President George H.W. Bush did in his four years in office.
Here’s a look at job creation under each president since the Labor Department started keeping payroll records in 1939. The counts are based on total payrolls between the start of the month the president took office (using the final payroll count for the end of the prior December) and his final December in office.
Because the size of the economy and labor force varies, we also calculate in percentage terms how much the total payroll count expanded under each president. The current President Bush, once taking account how long he’s been in office, shows the worst track record for job creation since the government began keeping records. –Sudeep Reddy"

How about the inconvenience of a few more facts? With Daschle and company in the majority in 2001, the tax cuts and stimulus bills Bush offered early on were DOA in Congress. Since Pelosi/Reid/Frank in 2007, every reason a small businesses person like myself can think of for not hiring to staff a new venture slaps us in the face every time we pick up the paper. The job growth with Bush and a Republican Congress from 2003 to 2006 was ENORMOUS!
Now, compare the jobs "created" under Clinton and a Democrat Congress in 1993 and 1994 to those under a Republican Congress and Clinton from1995 to 1998. WOW!
"Supply side" isn't a theory. It's a description of how the supply of goods offered at all prices can be increased. With that incentive to increase supply small business really do "create" jobs. No President ever created a single permanent job in the private sector.

NAFTA must be repealed. America has exported most of America's decent paying jobs while India and China and Japan and Tiawan and many others are laughing all the way to the bank. NAFTA is a total failure and disaster to the America economy and work force. It is time to undo NAFTA and restore American jobs. By the way NAFTA was signed into law on Dec 17th by George H.W. Bush. About 20 days before he left office. The entire Bush clan is nothing but a bunch of rotten killers and crooks who should be banished to a far away galaxy. They have been a scourge on America and the world. If anyone expected Dumb Ya to create anything to help the average American they should have studied the history of the Bush family going back three generations. They people are scum of the earth.

NAFTA was signed by Bush but why not tell the whole truth? A Democrat congress passed it at the urging and strong support of Bill Clinton. It's the North American FTA! What's with the reference to China, Taiwan, India.....? It strenthened Mexico better than any foreign aid package and we got cheaper goods to enhance our standard of living.
