Dozens of persons are dying every week so the cool kids in America can party.
-
It's about time some media coverage is given to this problem that is sure to spill into America.
-
i was shocked when i saw this coverage, however it seems to be just another symptom of growing up in america. we are sickly in our refusal to change violence when its not right outside our doorstep. well, thankfully you guys have the antidote.
-
IF this isn't a good reason to legalize marijuana I don't know what is. HEMP FOR VICTORY
-
this is def. a huge problem. i heard that the national guard have been sent down there because its near all out war between the drug lords and border patrol and such.

So WTF do you expect from the same criminals who brought America on our knees ?
That they would consider aliens a little above insects ?!!!!It is even worst in Columbia where it is used as an excuse to crack down on political dissent. Over 300 union workers have been assassinated last year making it the worst bloodbath since Pinochet in Chili…
Wherever the USA & CIA pretend to work on the their so-called War on Drugs… blood flows…
The terrorist organization funding their covert action via drug smuggling is ... the CIA

Ignorance is the downfall of all cultures and we are about to hit bottom.
So please get your head out of the sand & get on with facing the enemy within !
At least go down swinging ;)
WAKE UP AMERICA YOU ARE BEING LAUGH AT BY THE TRAITORS WITHIN !
"A nation can survive its fools, and even the ambitious. But it cannot survive treason from within. An enemy at the gates is less formidable, for he is known and he carries his banners openly. But the traitor moves among those within the gate freely, his sly whispers rustling through all the alleys, heard in the very halls of government itself. For the traitor appears not traitor, he speaks in the accents familiar to his victims, and he wears their face and their garments, and he appeals to the baseness that lies deep in the hearts of all men. He rots the soul of a nation, he works secretly and unknown in the night to undermine the pillars of a city, he infects the body politic so that it can no longer resist. A murderer is less to be feared." - Cicero, 42 B.C.

Legalize.

Mexicans have seen almost 5,400 gang slayings this year, 1,200 more than all the U.S. military casualties in 5 years of war in Iraq.
-
Everyone is so interested in whats going on in Mexico yet no one gives a damn about whats going on in the U.S. We have Mexican drug dealers on our state police forces, cops shooting unarmed people in the back (other cops and informants) that are investigating them. Judges and prosecutors setting drug dealers free that kill informants that are investigating connections between the Judges and the dealers, and we can't even turn them in for it. Show me the line between the U.S. and Mexico when it comes to corrupt cops and gov. officials. All it comes down to in the U.S. is law enforcement eliminating the competition.

It´s a good thing I live far enough from the north of Mexico that I don't see this often.

I used to live in San Diego and went to Tiajuana a lot. So often I got very friendly with different shop owners/employees.
Always I met friendly, helpful and hard-working people.I was shocked to see the empty streets. I have been aware of the situation in Juarez -sickening. It is so sad that so many of our good neighbors to the south have to live in far of this violence.I so hate guns!

Next time do a story on the people who are getting killed for the most part I bet they are not model citizines. Every body thinks dealing drugs is easy Im sure these people getting killed did SOMETHING. You dont just drive around killing people for no reason. (most people dont atleast) They probably owe money, robbed someone or just mess things up when working for a drug boss. Im sure some of the violence we are seeing has to do with the economy up here and getting blamed for drug violence. People who use to send money from up here to down there are no longer able to which causes people down there to do things they normally wouldnt to get buy. The goverment says they are having an impact because of the price of drugs but there still isnt a problem getting it. We are spending more on it which helps fuel the war down there. Plus they are sending more drugs to Europe now whcih is driving up the price. Think about this the cartels are making millions right. So why kidnapp someone for 10,000 or even 100,000 ? It doesnt make sense unless these are not the cartels and just people who are trying to make money anyway they can think of then they the family finds out who did it and kills the people and of course it gets blamed on the cartels. I say just let them deal and stop the violence down there and try to get the people up here in the USA to stop doing dope. We need to see that its are addiction that is the cause of the war in the first place! An yes Im not stupid sometimes people are in the wrong place at the wrong time and get killed and thats a shame even more reason to stop the violence.

Wonderful job. I agree, our media in the USA does not show proper coverage of this crisis until it spills over our borders and we start having massive jumps in kidnapings and shoot outs among our streets. I totally support and wish the Mexican President well on this important effort to rid the people of Mexico the stress of dealing with these criminals and putting more pressure on our side to do something.

The U.S. needs this type of step up in security on all levels along the borders and the new President should do all he can to support the President of Mexico on this issue. I wish the Mexican President all the support on this fight against cartel criminals so the Mexican people can live without a mafia running towns.

Until we stop buying there drugs there will be violence in mexico unless Canada starts growing coca. Then canada will have the violence. We the USA is the market place and Mexico is the supply. No matter how many bust there are someone else will feel the void. Alot of people are against gun in the USA but supporty giving money to mexico to fight there war, what do you think our money is buying GUNS people here should look at thereselfs first we can be blamed for some of the violence down there. I have friends that live in Mexico I use to like going down there to vist but they dont want me down there because of what is going on. In the end I think what will happen is the cartels will come to there own agreement and stop killing each other and things will go back to normal. I also think that alot of the violence down there like kidnappings are not all cartels more like people who need money an see oppertunity but the cartels get blamed.
