Sixty One Minutes call for content

Current TV will be partnering with Sixty, One-Minutes (SOM) in an open, creative call to action for people all across America to submit one-minute films/videos that illustrate Making a Difference.

Sixty, One Minutes is currently supporting World Wildlife Fund’s Earth Hour, on March 28th, 2009. Hundreds of cities across the globe will power down for one hour and symbolically show the world that a small change made by many people can make a huge difference in addressing climate change and the human behaviors that contribute to it.

SOM is asking for submissions of one-minute films from anyone and everyone interested in addressing the problem of climate change due to our overuse of electricity. Most electricity is made from burning coal, so every time you power up, coal is burned, carbon is released and damage to is done to our environment. Until an alternative is put in place, we must all be conscious of our power.

The theme, then, is TAKE BACK YOUR POWER:

Having fun while making a difference through:
Human Power
Kid Power
Alternative Power - Wind, Sun, Water, etc
Creative Power

Stay tuned!!

Ironically of course a mass amount of electricity was used for each clip, how many times did she have to turn off the electricity to get that shot right. The best thing to do to save electricity is sit in your room forever with the lights off.
