Obama flashes irritation in press room

Asked how he could reconcile a strict ban on lobbyists in his administration with a deputy defense secretary nominee who lobbied for Raytheon, Obama interrupted with a knowing smile on his face.
"Ahh, see," he said, "I came down here to visit. See this is what happens. I can't end up visiting with you guys and shaking hands if I'm going to get grilled every time I come down here."
Pressed further by the Politico reporter about his Pentagon nominee, William J. Lynn III, Obama turned more serious, putting his hand on the reporter's shoulder and staring him in the eye.
"Alright, come on" he said, with obvious irritation in his voice. "We will be having a press conference at which time you can feel free to [ask] questions. Right now, I just wanted to say hello and introduce myself to you guys - that's all I was trying to do."
The president was quickly saved by a cameraman in the room who called out: “I’d like to say
it one more time: ‘Mr. President.’ ”

his cool and calm manner of handling a reporter who had no respect for order or process nor respect for the president of the united states is exactly what i'd expect from our president.
what else can you ask for?

Really? You're gonna say that after all the times Bush flubbed shit up, was down right rude, or didn't have a clue how to answer?

I never said Bush was a scholar. Obama's campaign said He was.

Once again liberals are already justifying Obama's ridiculous actions by comparing him to whom they called "the worst president ever!"
Makes you wonder?

ridiculous actions???
i thought he was most exemplary in his cool and calm manner. he could've ignored the guy, but instead he cooly and firmly stated the facts.

you obviously have no respect for due process. without people following the proper process to ask questions, your meetings become disorganized shout fests. there's no reason barack obama should have answered the rude reporter's question. he'd be opening the door for every other jackass to drill him while he sitting on the shitter.
grow up a little bit, and then you'll be allowed to sit at the adult's table.

He handled it just fine.
Told them what he was there for and when he would address their questions.

hes the president now he should be prepared to be grilled at any time, and should always be prepared with an answer.

""We will be having a press conference at which time you can feel free to [ask] questions. Right now, I just wanted to say hello and introduce myself to you guys - that's all I was trying to do.""
this was not a press conference. it would be respectful to save the substantive questions for the proper time and place. just a little respect. that's all.
""Ahh, see," he [Obama] said, "I came down here to visit. See this is what happens. I can't end up visiting with you guys and shaking hands if I'm going to get grilled every time I come down here.""
and who asked the question? oh yeah, it was jonathan martin, the author of the referenced article, cynic, and clearly anti-obama political blogger. of course, he's going to be butt-hurt about getting pronged by the new president. perhaps he could try a little CUTH and respect for the new leader of the free world.

there is a time and a place for questions. he did not open the floor for reporters to ask questions, and it was rude and improper of those few who did. he was checking out the press corps, not holding a press conference.
