Excellent job guys - you make a great case. In Mass., we’ve already started & are very fortunate to have had MJ decriminalized by voters. HEMP is by far one of the most misunderstood options for a more sustainable future with thousands of uses like food, clothing, fuel & medical benefits, as well as smoking it if you so desire. For example, trees can no longer be looked at as the only source for making paper & HEMP is the perfect substitute given its benefits over trees, like growing at a much faster rate while using far less resources, yielding far more consumer byproducts & requiring far less processing, while minimizing heavy environmental damage by growers.
Hopefully any financing raised will bring HEMP to the forefront of agriculture & its many unpublicized 25,000 benefits ranging from energy & textiles to biodegradable containers & healthier food choices. America needs to realize the absurdity of keeping viable alternatives & solutions to our growing economic & environmental problems, that our corporate elected gov't is keeping illegal & out of our hands for no good reasons other than pandering to corps with their own agendas & putting the immediate needs of Americans second.
HEMP will surely be the crop of the future that has been used worldwide for centuries-except by the U.S. because of its discriminatory banning in the 1930s. These are desperate times for finding, using & educating people about sustainable options that are available. But because it could help lower our dependence on fossil fuels, the facts of HEMP continue to be hidden & distorted by certain gov’t agencies that insist on keeping us oil dependant for as long as possible.
There is no greater time than right now for the average citizen to start exploring so many options because no one is going to bail us out of the mess our country is in except us. HEMP based food, beverages & clothing are becoming more readily available at natural grocers or independent clothing stores, sometimes found locally, for a start.
DEFINITELY GO HEMP WHENEVER POSSIBLE - IT’S THE CROP OF THE FUTURE THAT’S HERE NOW! - 3 years ago

Was just about to add this, but you beat me to it!
This whole topic seems like it should be a no-brainer, yet our government seems to be stubbornly turning a blind eye to the facts. They want to dismiss every positive aspect of this plant, apparently only to try to continue a failing policy of preventing people from getting high.
It doesn't work, everyone knows that (or should) by now. As the benefits continue to pile up in the face of economic turmoil, I fail to see how the Obama administration can possibly ignore the validity of our proposal to end prohibition on cannabis.
We the People need to continue to speak our minds, unify in cause and push our case to the forefront of change and rational government as Obama has promised.
Do your part if you agree this needs to change, inform everyone you can about the benefits of cannabis, but make sure you understand the wide variety of reasons, from recreational to medicinal, from healthy foods to non-toxic plastic, from superior clothing to superior building material, from clean fuel to a means of cleaning toxic environments... there are MANY MANY MANY more reasons to end prohibition than just to get high when we want, and even then, who's to say we shouldn't be able to do that considering the nations acceptance of tobacco and alcohol which are both verifiably more dangerous than cannabis.
We can and should believe that Obama will listen and face reality.... he already knows, but he needs OUR overwhelming support if he is to ever step over the line drawn by our government for too long now.
... and don't call it marijuana if you can avoid it. It's true name is CANNABIS or HEMP! Marijuana is a dirty word as far as I'm concerned!
