Kudos to Vermont Governor Jim Douglas!
Today is the day, stand up when they start spinning the “distorted" cannabis/hemp facts of the past. Our environment is in shambles, our economy is in shambles. No one has an answer yet as to how we will recover from our troubles. People are loosing their jobs daily, with little possibility of quickly finding a new job. We need new industry. We must find an answer, which aids the environment and industry. Cannabis/hemp is the answer!
It's often said, "When you get to the end of your rope, tie a knot and hang on". Cannabis/hemp will help tie the knots we so desperately need, both environmentally and physically.
Today there is much discussion going on in America about cannabis/hemp. This is a wonderful time in America for those of us who have realized the potential of cannabis/hemp.
We must stand up to spin! The powers that be, the ones who have worked so hard to keep it illegal, will start spinning to protect their profit, or their complacency to the spin of yesterday.

The legalization/decriminalization of marijuana has to start at the state level. With enough state support the federal government will have no choice but to change their laws on marijuana as well. Contact your local senators and congressmen!
-
Ronald Reagan started the "War on Drugs" on the national level. He didn't wait for the states. Why does President Obama need the states to end it? Everything doesn't have to go through the court of public opinion. Too many cooks in the kitchen isn't good. President Obama could change the laws governing cannabis/hemp with the stroke of a pen. Take it off the dangerous substance list and let the conversation begin!

Wonderful news. More & more states are taking control of issues & policies that shouldn't need federal approval - especially with so many higher priority challenges our country is facing. Here in Massachusetts we haven't stopped celebrating the decriminalization of MJ! I'd like to think hemp & its abundant uses will be a viable crop here too as states feed off of each other’s successes. Way to go VT!

Leaglize all of Mother Nature already. This will solve many problems namely the drugs wars especially the ones in Mexico with so many people being killed over Mother Nature. Industralized Hemp is a good thing but legalizing all Hemp is what needs to be done and quick. Gee, Uncle Sam you took the numbers racket from the mob and called it the lottery, you took the booze and tax it, you legalized the mobs Casinos, you turned the protection rackets into insurance companies. Seems to me its time to take a piece of the action and legalize POT. Just think of all the money you can make and all the people you will make happy. It seems like a win win to me.

I am so moving to Vermont if this passes!
