I thought 16 was the age of consent anyway? Or maybe it's 15. Either way, it wasn't like that guy forced her to take a picture of her nips. Unless the picture shows her struggling or something, it HAD to have been consensual, right? I mean think about it. Why did that picture exist to begin with? Probably her idea.

Sending a topless pic of is ex-girlfriend wasn't the right action to make, but certainly don't call for the over-the-top charges which he now faces.

surely there are many more important real crime cases to be working on. He spends in a jail, how much does that cost and can only be released on $140,000 bail.

I've been seeing wild descriptions of how prisons are run for years. Anybody aware of how grafter-happy KBR/Halliburton runs the Iraq/Afgan military concessions should have no trouble figuring out the conditions in Texas' 'for profit' prison system- or why the prison population is so high.
I just ran into this little hummer about how things really are going : nobody who knows about Gitmo or Abu Ghraib - just for 2 examples - should have much trouble thinking restraint is more than overdue.

CLEARFIELD, Pa. --

A 15-year-old Clearfield girl faces child pornography charges after police said she sent nude pictures of herself over the Internet.

Clearfield County District Attorney William Shaw said the girl has been charged as a juvenile with possessing, distributing and creating child pornography.

The girl is living with her mother. Authorities said the girl sent the pictures after communicating in June 2007 with a 27-year-old man over the MySpace networking Web site.

The practice has been called "sexting" for the prevalence of teens to transmit images via a cell phone.

Shaw said the man has also been charged with unlawful sexual activity. State police found the images on the man's computer.

it's not like you're a child until midnight when you turn 18 then that minute you're an adult... that's just bullshit! having sexual relationships, working, paying bills, all that stuff doesn't make you an adult either. this stupid crap of calling everything child porn is retarded. 18 yearolds are no more adult than a 17 yearold. and if you dissagree youre just delusional.

why is this an issue? since when did the human body become taboo anyway? I mean I don't approve of actual CHILDREN being forced to do lude things for a camera but if it's 'natural' and innocent like the actual living human body I don't see a problem. and if SHE took the picture herself why not charge her with child porn? that's just as stupid.

I think this is CRAZY! Blown WAY out of proportion. He is just a kid. Give him some probation or community service if you feel the need to charge him for this. He wont get to experience life until he is 38. Even then his most important and memorable part of life (the twenties) will be of him locked up over a 16 year olds boobs.

I agree with eyeswideshut, "Unless the picture shows her struggling or something, it HAD to have been consensual." And even if it was not consensual, I believe 20 years is still a little too harsh.

Yah i dont think this guy should be in jail either, at most probation!
