Chinese authorities have revoked licenses for Oasis to play shows in Beijing and Shanghai in April after the discovery of Noel's appearance at a 1997 Free Tibet Concert. The band was deemed "unsuitable" because of their links with the Free Tibet movement. Other bands who have played at Free Tibet Concerts have been allowed to play in China, but recently the government has cracked down after Bjork yelled "Free Tibet!" at a packed arena in Shanghai.-

*Sarcasm on*
Oh dear! How ever will the Chinese get along without the oh so wonderful music of Oasis! The whole country will dissolve and communism will cease to exist!
*Sarcasm off*
I love how Oasis says they are bigger than the Beatles and tries to use the fact that they outsold Sgt. Peppers as reasoning. In a day and age when CD's were available nearly everywhere and technology allowed for buying things from anywhere in the world... yeah... that's a feat... Self absorbed wankers!

It is not Bjork's fault, if Noel was at a Free Tibet concert then they're just going to have to live with that. The Chinese aren't exactly missing out on much anyway.

So it's basically Bjork's fault for shouting 'Free Tibet,' seems a bit unfair on Britain's 'best band' (as awarded by NME) especially given that Oasis appeared at the Free Tibet gig over ten years ago.
