12,000 Students gather for Climate Justice @ Powershift 2009

Image...
This weekend, an estimated 12,000 young people were at the D.C. Convention Center for Power Shift ’09, the largest youth summit on climate change in history. College and high school students from all fifty states, all Canadian provinces, as well as a dozen countries, came together to discuss organizing for a clean energy revolution on the local and national levels. We hear some of their voices.

This was not a true grassroots movement, it was a corporate event. You can always track these these environmental groups like Powershift back to elite money financers like Rockerfeller Group and other ties to the central bankers who want to set up carbon tax schemes.

It's exciting to see that today's youth are already mobilizing & educating in order to tackle one of the toughest environmental challenges ever. While the people that have contributed to climate change die off, it's ultimately our succeeding generations who will be faced with the global task of keeping Mother Earth habitable. Right On!

    asherp,
You said, "It only takes a handful of engaged people to effectively lobby their congresspersons."
    How very right you are.
