Countdown clocks for pedestrians to improve crossing times.

Mayor Boris Johnson has plans to introduce digital countdown clocks at crossing to improve traffic flow. The Mayor believes that certain traffic lights should give more time to vehicles at the expense of those on foot.

    • Yeah we have them here, makes you less impatient.

      Having said that, the council recently installed some on an old Zebra crossing and never took the marking off the road.
      Cue me wakling out in front of a car and having to dive out of the way.

    • They need to accompany the countdown timer with the Countdown music!

      Although, I for one, would always wait right til the end of the jingle before I made the dash across the road...live dangerously and all that...
