“We’re going to surpass the extraordinary gaming experience we brought our fans in Mass Effect by delivering intensified combat and expanded weapon options as well as increased depth of planet exploration, all while delivering a powerful, emotionally engaging story,” said Dr. Ray Muzyka, General Manager and CEO, BioWare and General Manager and Vice President, EA. “Mass Effect 2 is shaping up to be an unforgettable RPG-shooter experience, taking players on a non-stop roller-coaster ride filled with stunning plot twists and no-holds-barred action.”
Mass Effect 2 is coming to PC and the Xbox 360 video game system in Early 2010.

Can they top Fallout? I've never played Mass Effect myself, but Fallout was a masterpiece.

Honestly, I ran through Mass Effect. I didn't do any of the side quests or any exploring. Thus, not having substantial time with the game to get a feel of its depth. But, from what I experienced, It was a good game.
I haven't had the time to get into Fallout, but I'm dying to.

Mass Effect, despite it's cheesy made-for-scifi-channel miniseries feel, is by far one of the best games, especially when I decided to make the commander gay and save his guy friend in exchange for no-brain Ashley's life.
Fallout 3 fucking blew my mind away, and the soundtrack is phenomenal. The V.A.T.S. is the coolest, too bad I can't enter into it in real life. I desperately wish I could live in a future like Fallout 3's (only not as a ghoul and preferably as Moira's lover).

Is it really gonna be like this??
:-D

Why isn't it going to be on the PS3?
That sucks because I have a PS3.
-
Well the first one wasn't on PS3, don't see why this one would be.
Hopefully the second title will be better than the first, the first was too rushed and there was never really a purpose in doing sidequests or exploring the galaxy.
I still enjoyed it a lot though, it was an amazing journey that rivaled plenty of cinema. Hopefully this next one will fix those problems.
In the mean time, I'll probably need to teleport out of the time-space continuum and visit myself in the fifth dimension to get the theoretical supercomputer that will actually be able to run this game on the PC.

fallout is a different kind of game think more like KOTOR. great game played thru twice.
-
Ha, this is why I have a PS3 and Xbox 360, got the best of both worlds!
I can't wait to see what steamy sex scenes they're gonna cook up this time! Oh, and I want a command system like KOTOR, where you can stack up the commands for your person and the teammates!
-
Glad none of the fanboys have come out on this one.

When will I ever be able to jack-in?!?!
