2009 Coldplay-Off Update: (11) Elbow and (7) Snow Patrol advance to 2nd round

The first round is winding down, and we had some great games yesterday. In the Bands that Coldplay Ripped Off Division, (11) Elbow bested (7) the Verve 11-5, with one additional vote going to “everyone is smoking crack.” Thanks createfreely. Glad you could contribute.

In the Division of Bands that Ripped Off Coldplay (7) Snow Patrol blanked (11) A Fine Frenzy 7-0. But then again, sometimes losing in this category is actually a victory, so don’t sweat it, Alison.

Coming up, we’ve got today’s final games of round one in the Bands that Coldplay Ripped Off Division, we have (8) Peter Gabriel vs (9) Peter Cetera and in the more shameful Bands that Ripped Off Coldplay Division, we have (8) One Republic vs (9) Thirteen Senses.

    I wish he would have read the rest of my comment, but thats ok I guess. I said people were smoking crack, because neither one sounded like coldplay, or the other way around. Either way, you are always going to hear traces of other bands, or artists, in anything you hear. Nothing is truly original, so lets get off the backs of hard working artists.
