Not so big daddy? DNA "reveals 12-year-old not the father"

Remember Archie Patten, the baby-faced schoolboy who apparently became a dad at the age of 12? According to The Mirror, DNA tests have proved he's not actually the father.

Archie had the test after half a dozen other young guys claimed they'd also had sex with the baby's mother, 15-year-old Chantelle Stedman. At the time the original story broke, Chantelle told the tabloids “Alfie’s the only boy I’ve been with.”

Though the NSPCC and Children's Legal Centre recommend choosing someone over 16, there isn't actually a legal minimum age for babysitting in the UK so on the plus side Archie, now 13, can still play a part.
