The UN farce on Racism takes and ugly turn as Iranian leader attacks Israel on Holocaust Remembrance Day. "Around 20 delegates, including envoys from the UK, France, and Finland stood up and left the room at what was considered an anti-Semitic remark by the Iranian leader, who has repeatedly called for Israel to be wiped off the map."
The point is, if you define Zionism as racism, (which is odd considering there were clear statements promoting secularism and social welfare and there have been great efforts at this with Israeli Arabs) you must define the Sharia government as racism as well, in 22 other countries and billions of other people, because it is. In fact, (correct me if I'm wrong) Sharia gives no allusion whatsoever to respect for other's faith or heritage and this is why there is a problem. Because we are all a little teeny tiny bit ethnocentric. And as Obama said, this conference smacks of hypocracy.
Three cheers for the walkouts.
