A big problem that we spend little time and effort on. Our vices are beginning to outnumber our virtues in the world. Great video Stephen.

Plastic Soup!
Really makes you think. I wasn't one to go to the grocery store with a reusable bag, just because I thought maybe I would buy more than the room I would have in the bag; but now I will.
Shoot, I want to see the ocean like it was in the clip and not full of plastic like it's going to be.-

Cosmic bitch slap . Maybe we should stop killin' each other and figure a good way to deal with this , if we can .

This plastic problem is a very important issue that needs to be addressed in a major way... most people don't realize the seriousness of it, so it is essential that more exposure goes into making people totally aware...
stephen, this is a great video, doing much toward providing the awareness this issue demands... the other video is good also...
I don't mean to be overly critical, but, if the girl in plastic soup was crying, instead of laughing, it would be overwhelmingly powerful...I know you probably just dubbed that in...I'm just sayin'...

It's vital that we take our bags with us to shop. We tend to forget about all of the products we buy that are wrapped in plastic. We have to tell our stores that we want bio-degradable packaging. Vote with our money.

Plastic has it's uses. No doubt. But it's the irresponsibility of the manufactures and our wasteful nature that makes plastic a bad alternative for human use.
Plastics do contain harmful components.....
Humans are parasites on this earth. Our own nature is what will be responsible for our own mass extinction if plate tectonics doesn't get our race first.

The government and industry are ignorant to the safety of man for the mere fact of turning a profit. Short sighted, no forethought, and no ethics.
The fact that there are still people out there that don't seem to understand that everything we do affects the ecosystem and it's balance is beyond perplexing.
What is a scientific fact the government will ignore in order to keep the gears of capitalism rolling. Money...a symbol humans created holds more value than human life or the earth itself.
The priorities of this country and the world need to change or we will all suffocate in our own waste. And the earth isn't going to mourn another mass extinction.

Think of how many plastic bags are distributed each day just in carrying out groceries, etc. from the stores. There needs to be a way to bring them back to their origin. I bring them back to the grocery when I've collected a substantial amount... Every store that buys the bags to facilitate their products going out the door, should be required to have a functioning ongoing recycling program to make it easy for customers to bring the bags back... and take steps to promote just that...
