Do you heart nerds?

If you're like me and have a soft spot for braces (as in suspenders, not the oral kind) and thick rimmed glasses, then point y our browser to this website, NerdBoyfriend.com. It's a photo gallery of dorky (yet famous) guys sporting the carefully cultivated nerd styles. And if you're a guy who wants to grab the attention of girls by embracing your inner dork, there's style suggestions of how to get their looks. Brilliant!

I like both kinds of braces. Nerdy boys are my favourite. I especially like the way they dance.

That picture of young Bob Dylan is lovely!

Ghandi was such a nerd. A nerd for peace!
I totally want to date young Albert Finney now.

It's really time we start distinguishing between hipsters and nerds. The man in the photo is no nerd. There's no such thing as a "carefully-cultivated nerd style." The moment it becomes self-conscious, it ceases to be genuine nerdiness.

yeah , i "heart nerds " , and i f-ng hate posers who'd think "nerdyboyfriend.com" is anything else but a shopping portal . if you can , and are inclined to purchase the $1200 quilted bomber jacket which is linked up under the photo of the Jam when the real jacket in the photo is an MA 1 ( $50 or less anywhere - less in thrift shops ) , and you think it'd be cool to wear it to a club ( or wear it at all ), you are incapable of being a "nerd" or anything authentic for that matter - you need to shop at the Gap - stay there and rot while you're at it .

It's pretty easy to start dressing like a nerd. Just shop for neutral basics and accidentally pick out the wrong sizes over and over again at the thrift store. In only a few weeks you too can have the conversation me and my beau had.

him: "Your style has changed you look like a nerd now." me: "I hadn't noticed..."
    him: "Yeah I don't mind..."

Nerd needs a state of mind to support its look.

I might also point out that the word they're looking for is "geek." Nerd implies a superior intellect and poor social skills.

I agree but, the look followed the state of mind, I guess it was only a matter of time which is why it's a bit funny and sweet.

the whole reason we are able to have this discussion on the internet is because of nerds so I think it's safe to say everyone should love nerds... no homo.
