I think I'll check Okcupid. It sounded cool. Nice pod. I haven't seen a good one in so long. Good work Nealeigh.

Or maybe... just maybe online matchmaking is just becoming more popular and the recession is irrelevant and just used to make this topic more interesting?

I never thought about the recession having anything to do with it. I do, however, know a bunch of friends who've used sites like OK Cupid, and the advantage is just being able to reach out and find people they might not have otherwise met, because we're so busy with school/work/etc and don't get as much time to explore new hang-outs.

The recession is very romantic. Because of the lack of money, people are starting to value what they have. More people are biking to work or changing their diets - and showing a side of themselves that maybe even they have forgotten. I believe the downturn in the economy is good for society.

yay we're using sub-human forms of communication to date now because we're all too socially retarded from our fear-based, isolated upbringings to approach anyone! WHOOPIEE.
