Last week T-Mobile held a flash mob in Trafalagar Square, which followed their previous flash mob in Liverpool station. Now Sky have created a flash mob style ad with Gisele Bundchen to lauch Sky HD. A number of people are questioning whether it was a real flash mob or just a brilliantly shot ad.
Wonder if we're getting jaded of all the flash mobs now? Perhaps this is going to ruin the spontaneity of "true" flash mobs with no commercial companies invovled.

Flashmobs were a novel idea but now they're being exploited for commercial gain. I'm starting to get pretty tired of them cropping up in adverts. And the fact that big companies are tapping in to the flash mob concept to sell us things undermines the spontaneity and viral social networking aspect of the event.
