My top five games are mostly tied to the memories as opposed to the quality of the game itself....which makes it kind of hard to write this list heh.
1. Rise of the Triad- growing up my parents wouldnt get my brother or I get a videogame system so we resorted to playing a shitton of PC games. I remember playing a lot of Doom, Warcraft, X-wing, and Rebbel Assault. But among all of those, Rise of the Triad was my favorite...probably because I had (and still do) all the cheat codes memorized and I would just run around like a maniac. Bonus points for Dog mode ;)
2. Game & Watch : Mario - The closest thing to a hand held video game system I had growing up was a Game & Watch: Mario. I played the shit out of that thing...especially on car trips (which we took a lot of). It sucked because there was no way to pause or save the game and if you died you really died. I remember getting so frustrated sometimes, but I always kept playing. I dont think I ever beat it but I got damn close a few times. I still have this game too!
3. Zelda: Ocarina of Time - This game will just always be on my top 5 even though I didnt play it until about 4 years ago. I still havent beaten it (I was over halfway done when I broke up with my ex....it was his N64) but I started playing again recently on Wii Virtual Console. I could go on for hours why this game is so amazing and in my opinion one of the most perfect games ever played....but that would take far too long ;)
4. Capcom vs Marvel - I love fighting games and although Soul Calibur is probably my favorite now, I played a ton of Capcom vs Marvel growing up. First at the arcades and then later in college when I lived in a house with 3 other boys and they liked to show me off because I could kick anyones ass in Capcom vs Marvel...they would make bets with our unsuspecting guests as to whether or not they could beat me, we made a lot of beer money that way.
5. Burnout - I would list a specific one but really I love them all. I totally suck at driving games but Burnout I rock at simply because I make the most epic crashes and still can drive away from them. My boyfriend says its the perfect game for me because I totally have gaming ADD and cant concentrate on one thing at a time...so Burnout is perfect for me because I just just drive around all crazy like doing whatever I want. I think hes right ;)
Honorable mentions- Pixel Junk Monsters, Tetris, Battlezone, Warcraft, Civilization and Math Blaster.

I played SO MUCH Rise of the Triad as a kid. Free PC shareware demos were one of my favorite things until I had a job and could afford to buy new games more consistently.
