    This is a really interesting program that teaches students how to use their computer skills against real problems. We need more hands on programs like this!

    And the girl who said that "IT isn't just for boys" knows whereof she speaks: not only did she and her female-majority teammates take top honors for the second year in a row, but another team from the same school--also mostly girls--took second place. They must have an incredible program there.

    That's pretty rad. And to think I spent my junior high and highschool years on my C-64 with a 300 baud modem dialing in to BBSes. I could have been preparing for a career in cyber defense. These kids have great futures ahead of them. Iowa seems to be the place to be these days.
