Oh. My. God. Those milk ads are... they're just...
The sentences aren't even gramatically correct! They can pay for 3D animation but they can't get someone to proofread. You know. Proofread for grammer. And for STUPID.

When I first saw the beginning of that Crescent Rolls commercial I thought: "I wonder what they're wishing for. Their long lost sister? A cure for their grandfather's cancer?" Oh well.
Fabulous as usual, Sarah :)

Hahahaa! I didn't even notice it. I always thought that all of those commercials are dumb. They make me want to go to the store and destroy all of those products!

Favorite Haskins-ism since "molesty wind" from chocolate commercials piece: "Milk will also bring sunshine to a land devastated by your period tears"!
Guess it's my fault it's been rainy in New York all week.

WHAT? I had never seen those milk ads. Are they new? Who does that in this time and age? Oh yeah, we still live in the world of princesses.
Have you seen the "sparkle" princess on one of those Wife Swap episodes?

"Inside every woman is a little girl. And inside that little girl is a littler girl. And inside THAT little girl is a princess, waiting to be rescued by a hot dude with a magical product." Like a matrioshka of fairy princess femininity! and stupid.
How can the same team that produced a sentence/plotline like "The princess' ugly hair was the reason she was unmarried" be responsible for that neat animation? It breaks my heart. Also... milk? Milk makes you break out, people. Milk provides little nutritional content. Milk ain't doin you no favors. Don't believe the hype!
Sparkles!

Most excellent as always, Ms. Haskins!

Well, I tried taming a princess by bringing her milk after I saw that commercial. But little did I know she was lactose intolerant and she ended up in the hospital. That milk ad totally screwed me over!!!!!!

I love all your videos, Sarah, but this one's my favorite so far. I hate that infantilizing, essentialist fairy tale crap. I haven't seen those milk ads, and I hope I never do.
That princess looked way cooler with the snake hair anyway. I'll make a point of not consuming dairy products at all if it means I can have snake hair.-

So great, and yet there's an American Apparel ad with a topless woman lying down and clutching a color-changing pole *right next to Sarah's video*.
Current, you are part of the problem. -
Real fairy tales are scary and teach lessons while doing bad things to seemingly "good" people to encourage kids to not stray from home or trust others.
This fairy tale princess crap has got to stop. Not every little girl has be a princess.
If they are going to show milk helping a Princess's hair why can't she go searching for the "cure". Make the Princess an active participant, not just an object to be won.

I am in total hate with those milk commercials. Like a real fairy tale, they are unbelievably creepy. The voiceover makes my skin crawl and the animation reminds me of Tim Burton meets Bratz.

Hi Sarah,
You are a comedic genius. Thanks for doing the Target Women segment. You inspired me to do my own. I posted it on my blog, MachecosWorld, but here it is for those of you too lazy to click on the link. LOL
Target Women Ugly Men with Sexy Wives. Why is it that sitcoms always show ugly fat men married to super hot mamas? Case in point: According to Jim's Jim Belushi and Courtney Thorne-Smith, King of Queens' Kevin James and Leah Remini, Still Standing's Mark Addy and Jami Gertz, and of course Family Guy's Peter and Lois. What is up with that! No way in real life would a woman like Leah Remini marry a guy like Kevin James (especially if he was a UPS delivery man). Okay, I know that comment is sexist, saying that a pretty woman would only marry a fat guy if he was rich, but lets get down to the root of the issue here. There is obviously a double standard in Hollywood. The standard is that if you are playing the part of the average family member, it is okay to be fat and ugly if you are a man, but not if you are a woman. It is okay for a guy to let himself go, but not for a woman. Let's get real here. There is only one time in television history that I can think of when a fat woman was married to a hunky guy and that was on Days of Our Lives (Patrika Darbo) .
You go girl. Actually, I think this was an attempt by Days of Our Lives to identify with its viewer and let the average woman know "Yes, you too can have a hunky guy". Bravo NBC. -
Sarah is a genius, production and writing are very cool. Give us more!
