Governor Schwarzenegger's proposed budget would close over 200 of California's beautiful and historic state parks. These parks are enjoyed by 80 million visitors each year.
What is your take on this? Also, do you have a plan for restructuring the system in a way that will make it possible to keep all of California's incredible state parks open?

I liked Mayor Newsom's answer. This is a horrible idea. Our natural beauty defines this state.

Personally I see the Governator's proposal as counter benficial. Think of the business we get from tourist not just in the parks but in small businesses. Our economy would more likely than not slow down conciderably.
