Bret Michaels gets knocked out when he runs into a wall while performing at the Tony Awards
Bret Michaels may be tough enough to handle a houseful of unhinged women vying for his affections on "Rock of Love" (or at least vying for screen time), but that doesn't mean he's tough enough for the Tony Awards. Michaels was injured last night during his performance at the show...umm, we're not surprised...those Broadway awards shows can be pretty rough! (Just trying to be supportive.)
During the show, Brett Michaels performed with his band Poison alongside Constantine Maroulis and the rest of the cast of "Rock of Ages." During a rendition of the Poison song "Nothin' But a Good Time," Bret Michaels missed his mark and ran into a piece of scenery. As a result, he was knocked to the ground. While the extent of Michaels's injuries are not yet know, reports that he broke his nose are not true.
Somehow we have a feeling that Bret Michaels is going to want this incident to go away as quickly and quietly as possible as there is something that's just a little humiliating about getting injured during your Tony Awards performance...especially if former "American Idol" alum Constantine Maroulis was able to get through the whole thing without getting hurt...that guy is supposed to be the wimpy rocker, not Bret.
If nothing else, this will make great fodder for the next season of "Rock of Love." When the next batch of women is trying to bond with Bret Michaels and convince him that they're "there for him," they can recall witnessing his terrifying accident during the Tony awards and talk about how much they were worried about his safety. And Bret will totally half-believe that maybe they're telling the truth, and aren't just there to promote their fledgling careers as...whatever it is the women that get cast on that show actually aspire to do...
