The Muslim world fears, correctly, that we intend to dominate Middle East oil supplies and any Caspian Sea oil infrastructure. And it is interested not in our protestations of good will but in the elemental right of justice and freedom from foreign occupation. We would react, should the situation be reversed, no differently.

Muslim rage is stoked because we station tens of thousands of American troops on Muslim soil, occupy two Muslim nations, make possible the illegal Israeli occupation of Palestine, support repressive Arab regimes and torture thousands of Muslims in offshore penal colonies where prisoners are stripped of their rights. We now have 22 times as many military personnel in the Muslim world as were deployed during the crusades in the 12th century. The rage comes because we have constructed massive military bases, some the size of small cities, in Iraq, Afghanistan, Saudi Arabia, Turkey and Kuwait, and established basing rights in the Gulf states of Bahrain, Qatar, Oman and the United Arab Emirates. The rage comes because we have expanded our military empire into neighboring Uzbekistan, Pakistan, Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan. It comes because we station troops and special forces in Egypt, Algeria and Yemen. And this vast network of bases and military outposts looks suspiciously permanent.

Obama, whose embrace of American imperialism is as naive and destructive as that of George W. Bush, is the newest brand used to peddle the poison of permanent war. We may not see it. But those who bury the dead do.

They have their own people to blame, with out the ones working with us/for us, whats going on wouldnt not be possible.

Take the time to look up "USA Oil Importation by country" The list is long with Canada, Mexico, Venezuela, Angola, Saudi Arabia, and other non-OPEC countries responsible for more than 75% of our needs. A little conservation everyone seems to get so excited about would render most OPEC nations insignificant regarding our oil interests in them. Sometimes the only reason I think the USA buys oil from them is because someone feels sorry for the crybabies because they have nothing else to offer the world to help feed their masses
What nation has America ever gone to war with where hostilities ceased friendship and economic development did not immediately occur...Viet Nam comes to mind only because they insisted on not disclosing information regarding MIAs and we were basically sick of the way they conducted warfare...It was ugly and we both needed a break from each other. China and Russia both used Viet Nam as a staging ground to keep us off balance...This was before trade relations with China initiated if you are too young to know we didn't always trade with China...Nixon anyone?

In fact Europe never wanted them.....and I suspect that when push comes to shove the USA won't want them either. They will start wars wherever they go, and have never been popular.........................so putting all the bad apples in one barrel seemed like a good idea I suppose to Empire Britain..............and this is the result.

If they left the land belonging to Palestine then all the stateless Palestinians would return home to Palestine. There would be some squabbles about who would get what.........and dividing up the land would be a problem.......but, that would eventually be sorted out and the Palestinians would live together peacefully.

All the other countries would rejoice at the end of Israel.....and when aid would be given to Palestine they would work and build their country.

How I wish they could all get home again....it is such a curse to be stateless and live as a refugee for half a century.

This simply uses "Muslim rage" as a pretext to critique "american political ethics" two very different issues. Our ethics tend to suck. Muslim "rage" sucks all on its own. So thumbs down.
