Companies You Thought Were Ethical and All-Natural--Not So Much (Burt's Bees, Tom's of Maine, etc)

Very disturbing that even Newman's own is not 100 percent Newman's own anymore. His daughter sold out, too!
The list goes on:
Burt's Bees
Tom's of Maine
Stoney Field Yogurt
Odowalla
Kashi
Newman's Own
Hain/Celestial Group
and on and on and on and on.
It appears at this juncture that the entire organics/natural foods industry is in jeapardy. Big corps have simply offered these companies such obscene amounts of $$, they couldn't refuse.
Who will stand up when they are all owned by Clorox, PepsiCo and the like?
It is a certainty that chemical producing comanies like Clorox really don't have the health of the public in the fore when putting out natural products. They don't have the experience and it is not in their general interest to tell the truth about what is REALLY in their product lines.
Just wait until they replace Witch Hazel with Sodium Laryl Sulfate in Burts' Bees "All Natural" hand sanitizers. And they will get away with it, as well.
Loyal customers of these once untainted brands will stop buying the products and the companies which now own all or parts of them will stop producing them. They will simply use the excuse that no one wanted to buy them. It is a self-fulfilling prophesy.
They will say, "See! No one really wants these natural products. Look at how the sales are so low!"
This will lead to fewer and fewer all natural, organic brands that can *really* be trusted to be just that--no chemical solvents, not animal tested, no artificial ingredients, no corn syrup, no GMO (genetically modified food). Ironically GM (General Mills) is big on putting that in food and now they own Kashi.
Unbelievable, heart-breaking and infuriating!!!!
