Manchester United accept £80 million from Real Madrid for Ronaldo

Image...
After months of speculation, awkward answers, avoiding questions and political nonsense, Manchester United have accepted an £80 million offer from Real Madrid for that whiny little sh*t Ronaldo.

It's strange that with just one transaction, this greasy Portuguese international will go from the most revered footballer in the north west to enemy number one.

At least the country can now unite in our distaste at this guy, though I think we can probably all agree he's the most talented footballer on the planet.

How many schools would £80 million buy?

Cheeky winker is on on his way!

I'll miss watching his skills, but not his seeming arrogance.

He's served his time here, gone from being an arrogant little show pony with no end product to an arrogant little show pony with a face you wouldn't tire of punching.

It makes this transfer window interesting as now there are about 5 clubs with some serious cash to spend, let the merry go round begin.

It's been quite a few years since footballers were local heroes playing for their local club so why are people still annoyed by today's footballers being arrogant and showy? Of course they are! They're all on about £40,000 a week, the entire world knows who they are and very pretty women throw themselves at them. Why wouldn't they be arrogant idiots?

Anyone who buys tickets to matches and follows the big teams on TV only feeds this greedy monster.

It's a shame that Real Madrid didn't spend another £20m, they could've bought Newcastle Utd...

The odds on Liverpool winning next season are looking better.

Thank God he's going. I tackled a little boy in the park last weekend, it was a fair challenge but the 10 year old fell to the ground in his Man U top and rolled around like a loser. He got up, pulled about six different Ronaldo facial expressions then burst into tears and ran off to his mum.

Ronaldo is a bad role model if you ask me .....!

£80m plus player signing bonus and wages for a man to kick a ball around on grass.

I'm a fan of football but I have to ask the question, where will this sort of arrogance end?

Goals are the defining currency of the sport. It's hard to work out a precise exchange rate these days, but 91 goals in three seasons seems a fair trade, even at £80m.
