Figures. Give your kid pot, and I'd report it to Child & Family Services.......no kid deserves to grow up addicted- and I don't care how rowdy they are! Rowdiness is part of growing up!

ADHD kids are already getting addicted to Speed aka Aderall aka Amphetamines. When they gain a tolerance, it is actually legal to prescribe them Methamphetamine. Those drugs actually have physical withdrawal symptomatic of addiction. Irresponsible use to excess with regard to cannabis can lead to psychological dependence. Cannabis is just about as harmful as coffee. Energy drinks can do more harm, and be more addictive than cannabis.
Please mind your own business, instead of taking kids away from loving parents and institutionalizing them. Thank god my son does not need meds to temper his demeanor, but whatever our doctor and us (his mom and me) decide is the best treatment, is nobody's god-damn business but ours!

I think this is a really hopeful story. I have a sister who has a developmental disorder and my siblings and I often joke about what it would be like if she smoked pot to calm her stimulating. All the meds she has taken in the past have done real harm to her, whether it being irreversible damage to her liver, hormonal inconsistency, or aggression and depression. Meds they prescribe these kids and people aren't doing their job, when dealing with the side effects is harder than coping with the difficulties in these kids lives already. I would be really interested to longer term results of this experiment and whether it makes the lives of these kids and their families a little bit easier!
