Sometimes they were color-by-number and other times, well, they invited you to simply pick your own color scheme (which some of us did with color-by-number books regardless). Taking this simple idea to a new level, one designer has come up with an idea to let people color their own dresses and other apparel.Her dress design ideas, however, do not end with just color - Berber Soepboer has also created a series of dresses that are designed to change color and pattern by snapping and unsnapping selective buttons and recombining layers in various ways.More than merely these (albeit creative and appealing) designs themselves, this design approach signals new ways of thinking about what we wear - they provide a new perspective on the possibilities of transforming, multipurpose and create-your-own textiles.

It makes me think of junior high when we would design our own clothes or do clothing craft projects. I think it will be a huge seller for Tweens and Teens. Adults really don't have time to color their clothes but I think artistic kids would love this idea. Where is it being sold?

Haha thats what my boyfriend always says. He gets frustrated that the bulk of fashion fun goes to the ladies. Designers need to start focusing on men some more! Give them some attention!

I love it! the prints are so graphic and Id love to be able to customize my colors and create new patterns as a result. Personally Id go for something minimal keeping it mostly black and white with pops of color.

I think this is a cool idea... But do the colours wash out? Because while it would be cool to be able to colour your dress differently... I think after a while I'd get tired of having to do that every time I washed it.
