Rodriguez to begin filming "Machete"

Image...
The infamous Grindhouse-featured 'trailer' "Machete", will begin its evolution into a full-length film in five weeks time as director Robert Rodriguez sets to bring Danny Trejo's character to the big screen audiences.

The cast and storyline, are yet to be unveiled but the classical violence from the Grindhouse series can be expected, alongside 70's style nudity.

Hehehehe... I posted an article weeks ago about the project getting the go ahead but now this is awesome. The movie I wanted to see just from a "fake" trailer is now on the way. Danny Trejo is going to make this movie stand out.

My question is whether or not the Spy Kids family will show up in the movie seeing as Trejo's character in those movies is called Uncle Machete. :)

Perfect! Now we have a chance to see what kind of moves Danny can do I hope they are brutal just like Antonio's in 'Desperado' (minus the guns), but just by looking at the picture there is going to be a lot of slicing, dicing, shooting and don't forget A LOT OF THE RED STUFF.

Robert Rodriquez is one of my favorite directors. You have to love a guy who has the skills to do every job in the process to get his film done, if he has to. He writes, shoots, cuts, scores...everything but acting, I think. I really admire that kind of passion--even though that admiration let me get sucked into watching Spy Kids 3-D with my nephew.

By the way, if you fall asleep with 3-D glasses on, your dreams are still in 2-D.
