Exposing Fake Women's Health Clinics: My Visit to a Local Crisis Pregnancy Center
But the problem is -- these are false promises.
I am a member of Bruin Feminists for Equality at UCLA. We joined the Feminist Majority Foundation's Campaign to Expose Fake Clinics this Spring. Like the Campaign, we have two goals: to warn women, especially students, about fake clinics in our community and to let the government know deception on the public dime has got to go.
So-called crisis pregnancy crisis pregnancy centers lure women into their facilities with promises of free pregnancy tests and options counseling. But once inside, most provide women with false or misleading information about abortion, birth control, and sexually transmitted diseases. The real zinger is many of these CPCs receive our federal taxdollars to carry out their deception.

I am a man but I have 2 daughters and I hope that both of them will have an opportunity to go to collage. A persons college years while exciting can also be intimidating especially if something like an unwanted pregnancy occurs. Leaving aside the entire abortion debate just for the sake of saving myself having to argue with anti-abortion zealots I have to say that these CPC's should be outlawed and the people running them should be sued.
A heartfelt thank you to Myra Duran, the people at Reproductive Justice and the folks of FMF affiliate Bruin Feminists for Equality for not only exposing these CPC's but also making me aware of them so that I can remind my daughters that there is no replacement for doing thorough research into a problem (regardless of the nature of the problem) and to never trust the opinion of just one source

Yes this has been going on for some time around the nation. You have to hand it to em at least these kind of places don't shoot people. I think they are well intentioned but the trickery is absurd.
