The author of a new book about the wisdom of free products on the Web has acknowledged taking some liberties in his own work.Chris Anderson, known for the influential business book "The Long Tail," said he was mistaken for using passages _ without attribution _ that closely resembled material from Wikipedia and other sources included in his latest release, "Free: The Future of a Radical Price."
"This is entirely my own screwup, and will be corrected," Anderson, editor-in-chief of Wired Magazine, wrote on his blog Wednesday.
Anderson's book, coming out next month from Hyperion, includes information about the phrase "there's no such thing as a free lunch," about the meaning of a learning curve and about other subjects for which he depended on Wikipedia, the online encyclopedia of user-contributed articles. The similarities were first reported by the Virginia Quarterly Review.

What is he in the 8th grade. Who gets their information from wikipedia. If you're going to plagiarize something at least use a credible source. There is a lot of good and correct info on wiki pages but there are also tons of wrong info to be found on it's pages. I at least hope whatever info he copied he at least checked to make sure if it was correct.

You've posted this in about 20 different unrelated topics --- Go to the search bar on the home page. Type in "Laura Ling" in the little white strip, then click on the Search button. When the list of results appears, click on "Newest" on the right side of the page and topics will appear. Click on one.
I think that everyone feels for the plight of the TWO people sentenced in North Korea, but it doesn't seem to be a heavily discussed topic and current is user created.
