L'Oréal, the French cosmetics giant, has been found guilty of racial discrimination in France.

Apparently, company executives sought an all-white team of sales staff to promote its Fructis shampoos, trying to prevent black, Asian and Arab women from selling them in French supermarkets.

  I swear Beyonce has her skin lightened on her promotional photos too. and being the diva that she is I bet SHE controls that. So in this case it might not entirely be L'oreal.

- the french cosmetics industry isn't all bad though.... i love this series of adverts by Bourjois...
  although the possible racism (by L'oreal not Bourjois I want to point out) is quite bad i guess

  Now that would be a valid point. You can't really 'sell" the product if you are bald, kind of sends out the wrong signals.
