Michael suffered a cardiac arrest earlier this afternoon and paramedics were unable to revive him. We're told when paramedics arrived Jackson had no pulse and they never got a pulse back.
Michael is survived by three children: Michael Joseph Jackson, Jr., Paris Michael Katherine Jackson and Prince "Blanket" Michael Jackson II.
Jackson had 13 number one hits during his solo career.

ABC News' version has a particularly morbid bit:
During a news conference at London's O2 Arena in March, Jackson assured about 2,000 fans -- some who applied for tickets to hear his announcement, others who walked in off the street -- that come July, he would be giving his "final curtain call."

Holy crap... what a terrible shock.
I just saw his exhibit at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame... if anyone deserved to be recognized for musical talent, Jackson was certainly one of the few shoe-ins.
