Over her chest, she held a small sign that read, “Tigers in Circuses: Beaten, Battered and Broken.”
Next to her, four protesters – fully clothed – held signs saying, “Ringling Beats Animals.”
The attention-grabbing protest was sponsored by the People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals to bring attention to what the group says is the cruel treatment of circus animals by Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey’s circus.
Because the protest was announced in advance, Ringling Bros. also had a publicist there, handing out leaflets countering the protesters’ claims.

As much as I sometimes disagree with PETA in general, on this, she is right. I have seen the animals when the Circus was in NYC and it wasn't pretty. The training is brutal, these animals are wild life, not meant to be showcased. She is making a statement and I applaud her for that. We need more people to speak up for these animals that have lost their dignity and their rights.

ok so you follow PETA but the thing is do you realize they steal and euthanize peoples pets ? just to free them from captivity. wtf secondly they are crazy ! BUT AT THE SAME TIME FUCK THE CIRCUS. ITS CRUEL.

I really like that she did that. =] It makes me happy that people care about animals as much as I do. I hate seeing tigers and other large wild animals caged up.
She looks so cool, too. I want to do something like that now :D
Also, I'm somewhat of a PETA supporter. I support the idea, at least.

PETA is famous for getting stuff like this wrong. It wouldn't surprise me at all if it turned out their data came from the 50's or something absurd like that. They are also famous for getting their younger female members to take off their clothes in public. Nothing new here either.

I think it's interesting that the protest was planned in advance so Ringling reps could be present as well.
I actually like the ida of both sides being there, almost like a debate, where one opinion isn't being forced down the throat of each passerby. It certainly makes people aware of an issue, and then it gives them the opportunity to educate themselves on it.
