so "indie" films are shot with 35mm film stock and multi-million dollar budgets??? does anyone here know what 10 minutes of 35mm stock cost without the processing? i would say...a little bit less than it would cost me to cater a 2 week film shoot for a friend who was making a movie.

Very cute guys. You forced me to laugh at myself. But come on! Eternal Sunshine? That's just off limits. Relationship-wise it's just in a league all its own.

Beastly, guys...but without the indies, it's big budget cinema hell. Maybe that could've been a line? but it would have messed up the fun rhyming...

They may be cliches now, but it's because everyone has been ripping off Wes Anderson.

Wes Anderson is a goddamn genius. None of his counterfeiters come close to capturing the magic, innocence, and atmosphere, not to mention cinematography and mis-en-scene, of his films.

There's an entire literary genre of fantasy, most all of it dealing with the same cliched themes and creatures and such, but none of that should detract from the genius of Tolkien.

Don't mock the trailblazers, mock the imitators.

The way i see it is if its a Wes copy at least someone is trying to put something in theaters other than the crap thats been flooding cinema in the past years. Go indie movies.

    Goodness gracious, I love this.

I showed it to my mom who watches indie films with me, and we cracked up. She said, "Oh no, indie movies are becoming cliche!"

How about open-ended conclusions to the films? It's practically an indie staple!

No really, I found this thoroughly entertaining. I like indie flicks, but that doesn't mean I am oblivious to the clichés. They can have a formula like any other film "genre."
