@drew, when things get more expensive for the little guy through misguided tax policies, it makes it just that much more difficult FOR them to invest in the technologies you love so much.

i'm retired... living on IRAs and SocSec.

raise my taxes and i, too, will have less money to invest in greening my own home.

i guess that's not part of your scheme, if you've ever thought it through that far...

and taxing "small businesses", which comprise about 80% of the businesses in the US, make it that much LESS likely they'll have the "excess money" needed to expand their businesses and HIRE MORE UNEMPLOYED PEOPLE.

Tax and spend advocates can't think far enough ahead to get a ''grip'' on common sense, never have, never will...but then, common sense isn't common, is it?

We will have a hell of a mess to undo once the socialist is out of the office - can't wait for 2013...

It's very nice to say that this bill will encourage people to invest in their homes but even now, the cost to power a home with solar runs about 30k in infrastructure. After this stupid bill runs up prices and reduces production resulting in less disposable income for everyone it will be very difficult to come up with the necessary bucks to "upgrade your home". When we built our house we put in solar hot water, geothermal HVAC and closed cell spray foam insulation. Total upgrades were probably 25K. NOw I will take advantage of the tax credits available for the geothermal and solar but what some of you are forgetting is that the homeowner has to front the money. Very often a 25k increase in the cost to build will mean that the house does not get built. People in an area where the average income is 32K a year just don't have the money.

I am fascinated that these things always pipe through the peascefreedomwhatever site but are never actually hosted there. It's almost like its designed to be an indicator of what to look at and vote up than an actual site.
