Fact based drug policy, what a unique concept.
We have a Democratic Congress, Senate and President, if we don't change the laws on cannabis today using facts, neither party is worth supporting. Our leaders should use facts to guide our future, not spin and distortion. It is time to end the madness! We have seen the destruction caused by spin and distortion and the ‘war on drugs’. It’s time for a recovery! That recovery will start when we start telling the truth! Facts matter! The truth matters!
Facts should be used to guide our drug policy, not madness! ‘Reefer Madness’ is a fictional movie. ‘Hemp for Victory’ was a documentary made by our own government, before spin and politics took over our drug policy.

Fact-based drug policy would NOT lump heroin and cannabis in the same category. The fact that they do is just crazy.
What kind of logic did they use to make that ridiculous connection? Who benefited from that bad policy? It wasn't the America people!

oh what a supprise, anti-drug adds have a reverse effect. its hard to believe that no one in government understands human behavior, what a joke. america's marketing stratigies have been disguised by a bipartisan melodrama. american policy is dictated by the lobbies and is very well planned and researched.

So far as I can tell it's an unsupported rant. I'd like to see the particulars of that "mandate". Wonderfully vague word that.

The main thing wrong with cannabis is it's prohibition. Nixon started it off and it's been haywire ever since. This prohibition has harmed our governments credibility, it harms our citizens, our economy. The only thing it's accomplished is the expenditure of huge sums of money for no purpose, the creation of a privately run prison system to house all the victims, and a shooting war between illegal drug cartels and the Mexican govt. Yet our legislators cling to this idiocy, like it's a holy grail.
Common sense has been out the window. What this is, is a grown up version of follow the leader with disastrous consequences.
A small number of our leaders have come to realize this. Lets hope that trend grows. At least we're talking about it now. There IS a solution to this. Several. But it has to start with truth. It's about time Washington started paying a little attention to that.
