I'm with you. Particularly if the robot is giving news Current members have decided was news.

Why are you guys surprised?, every platform that gets it's boost from it's users quickly dumps them and goes for the money... in the form of sponsored programming and focusing on more lucrative subjects and topics of discussion. We are no longer needed!

Mafioso has a point since every decision that has been made gives evidence that supports that conclusion.

No matter what Mario has claimed they are doing for plans to include more user feedback, what they have actually done is exactly what Mafioso pointed out.

I am not surprised since the pressures to gather ratings and sponsors to pay the bills is pretty high, but I am disappointed that they say one thing and do another.

I can't speak about Current News, but what I can tell you is that as one of the producers for Current Tonight, we are trying our best to feature as many of your submissions as possible, whether it's in the form of a post, comment or webcam. We are trying to feature a mix of hard news with more pop culture subjects in a daily half hour, and while there is not a measured 'game' as there was with Current News, we would like every story to be from a Current.com user and we certainly take popularity and activity into account.
