i dated a chick known as the "machine gun princess".

she was good. 2nd in the male division actually.

but i don't see why this is an issue. there is no serious proposition to ban guns.

i guess what i mean is...whats the point of this?

Unfortunately, statistically speaking, all it takes for a criminal to get into her house to rape and murder her is a) be white and b) wear a suit and tie when they knock on her door. She'll open right up ("Hello my fellow hard working God-fearing Conservative! How may I help you today?") and then....surprise! She now has a gun in her face and is being shoved backward back into the house.

And the 13 fully automatic rifles she has in the basement won't do her any good.

But if it makes her feel safer to own a few guns then, sure, why not? I don't see the harm. People should be free to own as many as they want.

I own a air pellet rifle. I am safe.
I avoid moronic people. That makes me safer.
It's morons avoiding me that I wrestle with.
But to watch the medias, you would think a killer lurks in every supermarket produce isle and in every Catholic confessional. Really, how often do "strangers" kill?
Not that often for anyone to develop a "safe strategy of defense" that probably will endanger others you love more while protecting yourself from a low probability event.
You can talk to people if they pull a gun or knife on you. You really can.
"Hey man, will you be cool and put that thing away--Now how may I help you?" is a good start.

I like the ad, a little humor goes a long way. Only a red guard would take this serious.

Check it out Cy-- "Seasteading" At last, an environment where one man and 10,000 women can live in perfect harmony--If 9,999 women aren't there--and even that is a big maybe.
Was that episode on "Twilight Zone?"
What "happy balance" would you want?
