When these people win, and they will eventually win, it will be interesting to see how they feel about all the issues they have eating propaganda about for 30 years. I'd like to see then, after being freed from this dictator, how they feel then about the infidel Christians.

It kills me how similar Ahmedinejad is to George Bush.

I am so glad that we never had to deal with a lowlife terrorist like Ahmadinjad in all the years of our history. George Bush got bad press and a lot of hate from a whole bunch of dissatisfired people.
However, he was never ashamed of us, and never ran around the world to apologize for us, and he never ran to kiss the hand of our enemy, or to bow down to our enemy, and he never took over the banks or the auto industry, and he never spent three trillion dollars in five months, and he never tricked us while he was running for office, and he never spoke badly about the president beore him. He had class and dipomacy and tact. Mr. Obama should have learned from him instead insulting him.

great special showing the human side of Iran. So many people are ignorant to what lies behind the headlines. Every people have similar wants, desires, interest especially young people. albeit their religious backgrounds may differ.

@sktoday that is very true, it is very important to note that they all want to do it them selves too, they are a sovereign nation and want to remain that way... the part that disturbs me is the propaganda they are fed, I wish there was a non invasive way to circumvent that.

Mr Obama is ashamed of us. Mr. Obama has gone to many countries to aplogize for us.
He is not asking for an apology from any person or any country, even though Mr. Chavez insulted our president. Mr. Obama even went to Venezuela and embraced Mr. Chavez and sat and laughed with him
So, in short, Mr Obama says he's sorry about us. When others insult our leader, he doesn't equally ask for an apology from the insulter.
I want a president who is proud of all the great things his country did for the world, even though The New York Slimes can't find anything good about us.
The New York Times is not a country and it doesn't represent Europe, even though it acts that way. It is a sleazeball newspaper masquerading as an intellectual publication. The New York Daily News, even with its seventh grader vocabulary, has more truth to print than the N.Y. Times.
Underneath their headlines, you will only find attacks against America.
The N.Y. Times will print anything it can find, ANYTHING, as long as it is........against........this.........country.

I thought the report on Iran was well done given that the average US viewer doesn't get a very good Idea of what's going on there through our mainstream press. I'd be interested in seeing follow-up reporting on the country, it's citizens and political issues.

The main stream media in the U. K. sadly lack integrity to like the U.S. At least Current reports the news.

With all these underground parties, I wonder how easy is it for young Iranians to have access to alcohol and drugs, and what penalties do they get if caught.

The young people of Iran are truly brave. Unfortunately, in my opinion, Mr. Obama should have voiced a much more loud and courageus statement and he should have injected himself into the middle of the protest. He was probably advised by his puppet chief of staff to stay out of it.
Of course, it's easy for me in hind sight, to recommend action after the news is out. But as I recall, many Americans at the time of the revolt, were upset that Mr. Obama did not immerse himself more and that he did not make stronger statements. If he had, the situation in Iran would probably be different now. Instead, the Iranian religious government is now in power again and it is too late.

I would like to think that it is never to late for change. But that's because I'm a naive optimist. It's hard for me to comment on what I believe Obama should have done, as I do not fully understand the political situation in relation to the US/middle east relationship. By backing the movement in Iran prehaps Obama would have hindered pro US relations with other countries, prehaps not.
I guess either way it would have been nice to see a leader of a western country (especially the US) stand up for what is right and truly fighgt for the freedom of others.

The youth of Iran want real and solid leadership. Iran's President can't be trusted. There can't be a true and lasting peace with him.
