O.K., I'm not a Republican or a Democrat but I tend to lean more to the left because their views are more in line with my own. In the article Mr.Kraushar states "They need to use traditional Democratic language about choice, fairness, caring, helping and similar "heart" language and apply that to Republican ideas." If your in any aspect of government these ideals are what you should stand for and apply to everything you do on a daily basis. I'm not saying the Republicans don't care or are fair but if you stood for these things don't you think you'd mention this "traditional Democratic language" every now and then because this is what you believe?
The article also states America is becoming like old Europe and that "There was wealth confiscation rather than wealth creation." This is all fine and good but the wealth creation, as we know, is what corrupted our political system in the first place and what got us into this horrible economic state we have now. There needs to be a government checks and balances system in place to regulate what's going on. We need the Federal Reserve back in the hands of government and not the greedy hands of the FED.
Then there's the final paragraph of "These, and related messages, can enable Republicans to convert Obama's message of "yes, we can" to a different one that Republicans champion for the country: We can do better." Really? We gave you an 8 year haul and now it's time to let the Democrats try. Or better yet, why don't you try to apply that slogan to government in general and work together with the Democrats and change the slogan to "We can do this together."
What do you guys think?
